Falconry Experiences

At the heart of everything we do is our Falconry Centre, home to a wide variety of birds of prey, many of which have been rescued.

A couple of years ago, we welcomed Sue and Tony, formerly Falcon High, to Otterbourne, along with their team of young volunteers. Many of the team are studying animal management or falconry at college and share a real passion for birds of prey.

After many years of running falconry displays and exhibitions, Sue and Tony decided it was time to take a well-earned step back. They were looking for somewhere they could relocate their birds, knowing they would continue to receive a high standard of care while they spent more time at their holiday home in France.

Their dedicated team of volunteers came with them, meaning our birds now benefit from even more care, attention and enrichment from knowledgeable team who are passionate about their welfare.

Although Sue and Tony have retired from public displays, they continue to share their knowledge and experience through our falconry experiences, giving visitors the opportunity to spend time with the birds and learn from people with decades of expertise.
